RYEGRASS OPTIONS
The newly released S&W ryegrasses offer exceptional nutritional value, quick establishment, and superior yields making them a reliable choice for farmers seeking high-quality forage options.
Sorrento, a modern diploid Italian ryegrass, is bred to deliver high production during winter and spring, with an extended lifespan. Its exceptional tiller density enables it to withstand intense grazing and wet soil conditions. Moreover, Sorrento's increased pasture density in spring allows for maximum production in hot climates during spring and early summer. It also has the ability to recover strongly in the second year, making it an ideal choice for regions with moderate summer stressors.
Loader Tetraploid Annual Ryegrass, is selected for its high production during winter and spring, maximizing the benefits of pasture planting. Its late heading date offers more flexibility to farmers, as it maintains feed quality longer. The plants are capable of longer growth, allowing farmers to utilize mid-spring rainfall. Loader has consistently outperformed competitors in independent trials, impressing farmers with its exceptional growth, animal performance, and extended spring production.
Maheno Tetraploid Italian Ryegrass offers high dry matter production and a mid-heading date of +18 days, allowing for flexible management practices. It's specifically bred for winter and spring production, extended spring growth, and long lifespan.
